Growing Pennsylvania Organic Farms Conference (GPOF) announces merger with the PASA’s Annual Sustainable Agriculture Conference
In the interest of increasing organic production in Pennsylvania, this merger will allow the GPOF tracks to reach a larger farming community.
PASA’s sustainable agriculture conference, now in its 28th year, takes place each February. The 2019 conference will take place February 6th through 9th in Lancaster, PA. The conference draws thousands of farmers, homesteaders, educators, and agriculture and food system professionals from more than 30 states and six countries for four days of intensive learning on over 120 sustainable food and farming topics. Attendees leave energized and inspired for the season to come.
The conference’s educational programming is interspersed with networking and social events, an expansive trade show, and regionally sourced meals. The “Future Farmers” program offers fun and educational activities for kids. Attendees’ children ask to come back every year. It’s the winter equivalent of summer camp!
The GPOF committee is proud to be a part of PASA’s conference and will be working to bring three advanced organic educational tracks: dairy, field crops, and vegetable production.
